The Hisense U7 100U75QG is a massive, blazingly bright Mini-LED TV that makes OLED owners genuinely jealous. Its 100-inch screen floods your room with 3000 nits of peak brightness, inky blacks from thousands of dimming zones, and a native 165Hz panel that gamers will adore. If you want a true home theater centerpiece without selling a kidney, this is the one to beat.

The numbers here are insane. HDR performance sits in the top 1% of all TVs we track, and the picture quality lands in the top 2%. That 3000-nit peak makes specular highlights pop like literal firecrackers. Gaming is a standout too, the 165Hz refresh rate, VRR up to 288, and FreeSync Premium Pro deliver buttery smooth, tear-free sessions. The 2.1.2-channel audio with 60W of power surprised us, it's not Sonos Arc level but has decent low-end thump. About the only real letdown is off-angle viewing, the VA panel washes out quickly if you're not centered, and the reflection handling is just okay despite the anti-glare layer.

Prices are all over the map, from $1,519 up to $5,343 across vendors. Amazon regularly has it at the low end, and at that price, this 100-inch monster is a screaming deal. Even at $2,000 it's a bargain compared to 83-inch OLEDs that cost three times as much. Just make sure you're getting the $1,519-ish price and you're golden.

The TCL QM8K is the U7's spiritual rival, another Mini-LED QLED with similar brightness but smaller screen sizes and often a slightly cleaner picture. The Sony BRAVIA 5 is a more refined TV with better processing and off-angle viewing, but you'll pay a huge premium for less real estate. If you're dead set on perfect blacks and wide seating, step up to the LG G5 OLED, but be ready to drain your savings for half the size. This Hisense wins on sheer cinematic scale.

If you watch TV from wide angles or have seating off to the sides, skip this and get an OLED like the LG G5. The U7's VA panel loses contrast quickly when you move. And if you don't have a wall or stand big enough for a 100-inch panel, obviously look smaller.

Buy it if you can fit it. The Hisense U7 100U75QG is the best giant-screen value on the market, full stop. It's not the last word in black level perfection, but what you get for the price makes those nitpicks feel almost silly. Gamers, movie nuts, and sports fans will be absolutely thrilled.
