HAOVM HAOVM 【2025 Android 15 Tablet M8 Tablet 8 inch,8 Review
The HAOVM M8 is an $80 tablet that feels every bit as cheap as it costs. It's fine for passive watching, but its terrible performance scores make it a hard pass for anything else.
Overview
Look, for eighty bucks, the HAOVM M8 Tablet is exactly what you'd expect: a cheap Android tablet that's fine for watching videos and not much else. The one thing you need to know is that its performance scores are rock bottom, landing in the bottom third for basically everything. It's a budget device through and through, and it feels like it.
Performance
Honestly, nothing surprised me in a good way. The performance scores tell the whole story: CPU in the 34th percentile, GPU in the 36th, and RAM in the 26th. It's sluggish. You can feel that 19.8 total score when you try to do more than one thing at a time. The only mild surprise is that the Wi-Fi 6 connectivity is decent, sitting in the 62nd percentile, so at least your streams won't buffer.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- It costs eighty dollars. That's the main feature. 75th
- Wi-Fi 6 is a nice touch for a cheap tablet, keeping video streaming smooth. 67th
- The 5100mAh battery is okay, hitting the 50th percentile for about 10 hours of video.
- Android 15 out of the box is a plus, even if the hardware can't really keep up.
Cons
- Performance is bad across the board. Gaming or any real multitasking is a no-go. 19th
- The 64GB base storage is tiny and lands in the 23rd percentile. You'll need that microSD card. 31th
- It scored a pitiful 14.6/100 for productivity. Don't even think about using this for work.
- The screen is mediocre (47th percentile). It's fine for YouTube, but colors won't pop.

Value & Pricing
It's worth it only if your budget is exactly eighty dollars and your needs are dead simple: watching videos in bed or reading e-books. For anything more, you're better off saving for something else.
vs Competition
Don't compare this to an iPad Pro or a Surface Pro. That's silly. The real competition is other cheap Android tablets in the $100-$150 range, or even a used older iPad. Those will have much better performance and screens. Even a basic Amazon Fire tablet often feels more polished for media consumption, though it locks you into their ecosystem.

Verdict
Skip it unless you're buying a disposable screen for a kid or a kitchen tablet. The performance is just too weak to recommend for any real use. For a little more money, you can get a significantly better experience that won't frustrate you every time you tap the screen.
