Samsung Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e 64 GB WiFi Tablet Silver Review
The Tab S5e has a stunning screen and is crazy light, but its slow performance makes it best for very casual use only.
Overview
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is all about that screen and that weight. It's incredibly light and thin, making it a dream to carry around. And that Super AMOLED display? It's gorgeous for watching shows or scrolling through photos.
But you have to know what you're getting into. This is a media consumption tablet first and foremost. It's built for streaming, browsing, and maybe some light note-taking. Don't expect it to be a laptop replacement or a powerhouse.
Performance
Performance is where the S5e shows its age and its budget roots. The CPU and GPU rankings are in the bottom 10-15 percent, so it's not fast. It'll handle basic apps and a few browser tabs, but heavy multitasking or gaming is a no-go. The 4GB of RAM feels tight. The battery life is solidly average, hitting the 50th percentile, so you'll get a day of casual use.

Value & Pricing
For around $120, the value is a mixed bag. If your only goal is to watch videos on a beautiful, portable screen, it's a decent deal. But that's a very specific use case. For that same money, you could find a used older iPad or a more capable Android tablet with better specs. You're paying mostly for the screen and the Samsung brand here.
Price History
vs Competition
Compared to an iPad Pro or a Surface Pro? It's not even in the same league. Those are pro devices; this is a casual media tablet. The real competition is older base-model iPads or Amazon Fire tablets. It beats a Fire tablet on screen quality and build, but the performance might be similar. The Lenovo Legion Go is a gaming handheld, so that's a totally different category. The S5e's main trick is being lighter and having a better screen than most cheap tablets.

Verdict
Buy this only if you want a super lightweight second screen for the couch or bed, and you don't plan to do anything demanding on it. It's perfect for a student who just needs to watch lecture videos and read PDFs, or for someone who already has a laptop and just wants a beautiful portable TV. If you need to do real work, get an iPad or a laptop.
