AMD 15.6 Review

This AMD laptop is a basic machine. It's got a 15.6-inch IPS screen and a 256GB SSD, which is enough to get you started. But that's about where the good news ends. The specs under the hood tell a very different story.

Let's be real, the AMD A Series 1-core CPU is in the 3rd percentile. That means it's slower than almost everything else out there. The 8GB of RAM is also in the bottom 10%. This thing will struggle with more than a few browser tabs open. The Radeon 3020 graphics are fine for video, but gaming is a non-starter with a 7.4/100 score. It's built for the absolute lightest of tasks.

At $219, it's cheap. But you get what you pay for. This isn't a value king, it's a budget trap. You're buying a laptop that's slow today and will feel ancient tomorrow. For just a bit more money, you can find used or refurbished models with much better performance.

Don't even compare it to the MacBooks or gaming laptops on the list. That's like comparing a scooter to a sports car. Look at older refurbished business laptops from Lenovo or Dell. You'll find better CPUs, more RAM, and sturdier builds for a similar price. Even a Chromebook at this price point will feel faster for web tasks.

Only buy this if your budget is absolutely locked at $219 and you need Windows for one very simple job. For students or anyone needing reliability, it's a hard pass. Spend a little more for a used machine, or get a Chromebook.
