Hasee Hasee T8 Pro-16'' GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU, Review

The Hasee T8 Pro delivers shocking power for the money, but its awful reliability rating and bulky design make it a hard machine to fully recommend.

Overview

The Hasee T8 Pro is a powerful laptop that feels like it's trying to be two things at once, and that's its biggest problem. You get desktop-grade Intel power and a solid RTX 5060 GPU crammed into a chassis with a touchscreen, which is a weird combo. The one thing to know? This is a beast for gaming and creative work, but you'll be lugging around a heavy, chunky machine with some serious reliability question marks hanging over it.

Performance

The performance is exactly what you'd expect from that 14700HX CPU and RTX 5060 combo, which is to say, very fast. It lands in the 86th and 83rd percentiles for CPU and GPU, so games and apps fly. The surprise is the touchscreen on a 16-inch, 180Hz gaming panel. It's a nice bonus for scrolling or casual use, but feels out of place when you're mostly going to be using a mouse for the heavy tasks this machine is built for.

Value & Pricing

At around $1170, the value is hard to argue with on paper. You're getting specs that usually cost several hundred dollars more. But that low price comes with big compromises in portability and, more worryingly, long-term reliability. It's a high-risk, high-reward purchase.

vs Competition

Compared to the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i, you're trading build quality, a better cooling system, and peace of mind for a lower price. The Legion is the more polished, reliable gaming laptop. Against the MSI Vector 16 HX, it's a similar story—the MSI likely has better thermals and a more gamer-focused design without the touchscreen gimmick. If you need macOS and creator apps, the Apple MacBook Pro is in another league for build and efficiency, but costs over twice as much and isn't for gaming.

Verdict

Only buy this if you need maximum power on a tight budget and you're willing to gamble on reliability. It's a fantastic performer trapped in a bulky, questionable body. For most people, spending a bit more on a Lenovo Legion or MSI Vector is the smarter, less stressful choice for a daily driver.
