Aperçu
Si vous cherchez un moniteur gaming 32 pouces qui ne fait aucun compromis sur la qualité d'image, le ASUS ROG Strix XG32UCWG est clairement un candidat sérieux. Avec sa dalle OLED 4K glossy et son mode dual capable de basculer en FHD à 330 Hz, il s'adresse autant aux amateurs de jeux solo magnifiques qu'aux furieux du FPS. On a ici une définition Ultra HD, une colorimétrie qui couvre 99% du DCI-P3 et un temps de réponse de 0,03 ms, le tout enveloppé dans un design ROG plutôt sobre. Le prix varie pas mal selon les revendeurs, entre 757 $ et 1335 $, ce qui le rend assez intéressant si vous tombez sur une bonne offre, notamment chez Newegg. Pour environ 800 $, vous avez du haut de gamme OLED qui tient la route. ASUS a aussi blindé son moniteur avec un système anti-brûlure OLED Care Pro et un capteur de proximité Neo qui met l'écran en veille dès que vous vous levez. Pas bête. Bref, une bête de course qui veut jouer sur tous les tableaux, mais qui demande un petit coup de réglage au déballage.
Performances
Côté perf, le XG32UCWG ne rigole pas. Dans notre base de données, sa colorimétrie est au sommet absolu, avec un Delta E inférieur à 2 et un espace DCI-P3 quasi parfait. Concrètement, les couleurs sont éclatantes sans être caricaturales, et le contraste infini de l'OLED sublime les scènes sombres. Le pic à 1300 nits en HDR est suffisant pour profiter des contenus certifiés DisplayHDR True Black 400, même si en plein jour une dalle mini-LED tape plus fort. Pour le gaming, le 4K à 165 Hz est déjà d'une fluidité exemplaire, mais le vrai gros point fort c'est le mode FHD 330 Hz qui transforme l'écran en monstre compétitif. Le G-Sync compatible et le FreeSync Premium Pro éliminent tout tearing, et le 0,03 ms GTG rend le ghosting totalement invisible. C'est simplement l'un des meilleurs moniteurs gaming du moment, et le mode dual apporte une polyvalence rare.

Rapport qualité-prix
Avec un écart de prix de plus de 500 $ entre les revendeurs, le rapport qualité-prix du XG32UCWG dépend surtout de où vous l'achetez. À 757 $ en version ouverte chez Newegg, c'est quasiment une anomalie tarifaire, surtout face à un MSI MPG 321CURX QD-OLED qui oscille souvent au-dessus. Face à ses concurrents directs, le ROG Strix se défend avec son mode dual qu'on ne retrouve pas ailleurs. Le LG UltraGear 45GX900A-B propose un format 45 pouces incurvé plus immersif, mais sa résolution est moins dense et son HDR n'est pas aussi bien calibré. Le Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 G95NC est un monstre ultra-large 57 pouces qui éclate tout en productivité, mais il coûte bien plus cher et n'est pas OLED. Si vous voulez absolument du QD-OLED, le MSI MPG 321CURX affiche aussi un 4K mais culmine à 240 Hz natif, sans mode dual. L'Alienware AW3423DW, lui, mise sur un format large incurvé mais en 3440x1440, une résolution en retrait.
