Ce Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 7 se pose en station de travail mobile taillée pour les créatifs qui ne veulent pas transiger sur l'écran. La dalle OLED 16 pouces 4K est une claque absolue, calibrée en usine et couvrant 100 % du DCI-P3. C'est le genre d'écran qui rend le travail sur Photoshop ou DaVinci Resolve bien plus agréable, et c'est sans doute la raison numéro un de craquer. Sous le capot, le Core Ultra 7 et 32 Go de RAM assurent une base solide, même si la carte graphique RTX 1000 Ada reste une solution pro milieu de gamme, pas une fusée pour le rendu 3D lourd.
Performances
L'équilibre est bon pour le flux de travail créatif typique, mais c'est la partie graphique qui m'a le plus étonné. La RTX 1000 Ada avec ses 6 Go de VRAM s'en sort honorablement sur des tâches de modélisation légère et de montage vidéo, sans jamais afficher de saccades gênantes en multitâche. En revanche, face à une vraie RTX 4070 mobile qu'on croise chez la concurrence à ce prix, elle pâlit vite. Le CPU, lui, est dans la bonne moyenne, suffisant pour écraser du code ou lancer des machines virtuelles sans transpirer.

Le prix, c'est le vrai sujet épineux. On a vu ce P1 Gen 7 affiché à 3 569 $ chez certains revendeurs, ce qui reste une somme conséquente mais qui se défend pour un poste de travail pro avec ce calibre d'écran. Le hic, c'est que la fourchette de prix s'envole jusqu'à des montants absurdes (plus de 900 000 $ chez un vendeur visiblement perché).
