Überblick
Mit 77 Zoll ist der LG C1 ein echtes Statement im Wohnzimmer. Das OLED-Panel liefert seit jeher perfekte Schwarztöne und unendlichen Kontrast, und genau das macht diesen Fernseher so besonders. Filme, Serien und vor allem Gaming sehen auf dieser großen Leinwand schlichtweg atemberaubend aus. Dass es sich um ein 2021er-Modell handelt, merkt man der verbauten Technik kaum an – die α9 Gen 4 AI Engine zieht immer noch ein sauberes Bild und sorgt für eine flüssige Bedienung.
Unserer Testdatenbank zufolge platziert sich der C1 bei Gaming in den Top 4 Prozent aller verglichenen TVs. Das ist absolute Spitzenklasse und liegt vor allem an der konsequenten Ausstattung: 120-Hz-Panel, vier mal HDMI 2.1 mit voller Bandbreite, G-Sync und FreeSync. Wer eine aktuelle Konsole oder einen potente PC anschließt, bekommt selbst bei schnellen Shootern kein Tearing und praktisch keine Latenz. Dazu kommen eine Bildwiederholrate, die selbst 4K@120Hz sauber darstellt, und ein Game Optimizer, der alle relevanten Einstellungen parat hält.
Preislich schwankt der C1 aktuell zwischen rund 1.300 und 2.000 US-Dollar, je nach Händler und Aktion. Damit ist ein 77-Zoll-OLED in greifbare Nähe gerückt – vor zwei Jahren hätte man für ähnliche Diagonalen locker das Doppelte hingelegt. Wer also ein echtes Heimkino-Feeling sucht, ohne die neueste Generation zum vollen Preis zu kaufen, findet hier eine überzeugende Alternative.
Leistung
Im Gaming-Bereich spielt der C1 ganz oben mit. Die gemessene Latenz von unter 1 Millisekunde und die native 120-Hz-Rate zeigen: Das Panel ist extrem schnell. Titel wie „Call of Duty" oder „Halo Infinite" wirken butterweich, und dank VRR-Unterstützung selbst bei Frameraten-Schwankungen ohne Ruckler. Auffällig ist auch die exzellente Bewegtbildschärfe – OLED Motion Pro reduziert Unschärfe, ohne dass das Bild allzu dunkel wird. Im Gaming-Score erreicht das Gerät 100 von 100 Punkten, und das spürt man auch im Alltag.
Bei der reinen Bildqualität in HDR- und Dolby-Vision-Inhalten zeigt der C1 seine großen Stärken in dunklen Szenen. Das unendliche Kontrastverhältnis sorgt für einzigartige Tiefe, und die Farbdarstellung deckt dank des 10-Bit-Panels einen riesigen Raum ab. Allerdings ist die Spitzenhelligkeit mit rund 700 Nits nicht überragend, weshalb sehr helle Inhalte in diesem Bereich etwas weniger dynamisch wirken als bei teureren OLEDs oder guten Mini-LED-Modellen. In unserem Outdoor-Test (60,9 von 100) wird klar: Bei viel Umgebungslicht oder direktem Sonneneinfall verliert das Bild merklich an Brillanz und der spiegelnde Bildschirm macht sich bemerkbar. In einem dimmbaren Raum ist das aber kaum ein Problem.

Amazon bietet den C1 zuletzt häufig im Bereich um $1.499 an, ist aber nicht der einzige namhafte Anbieter. Für einen 77-Zoll-OLED ist das ein sehr guter Deal, selbst wenn das Gerät nicht mehr den aktuellen Chipsatz der C2- oder C3-Generation besitzt. Die reine Bildperformance steht den neueren Modellen nur in Nuancen nach – das Kosten-Nutzen-Verhältnis verschiebt sich hier stark zugunsten des C1.
Wer hingegen einen 77-Zoll-Fernseher mit maximaler Helligkeit und besserem integriertem Sound sucht, muss schnell das Doppelte investieren. Im direkten Vergleich zu einem Sony A80K 77-Zoll oder Samsung S95B 77-Zoll ist der C1 preislich deutlich attraktiver und stellt für Nutzer, die vorwiegend abends oder bei gedämpftem Licht schauen, die klar smarte Wahl dar.
Im Vergleich
Der Sony BRAVIA 5 K55XR50 spielt in einer ganz anderen Liga: Mit 55 Zoll deutlich kleiner, ein LCD-Panel und keine OLED-Tiefe. Sonys Bildverarbeitung mag bei Bewegtbildern und Upscaling etwas geschmeidiger sein, aber der C1 liefert die filmischere Bildanmutung. Wer hingegen ein extrem helles Wohnzimmer hat und auch tagsüber Sport oder Serien schauen will, für den könnte der Samsung QN90F mit Mini-LED die bessere Lösung sein. Der Samsung erreicht locker über 1.500 Nits und zeigt weniger Reflexionen, muss aber auf Dolby Vision verzichten und hat sichtbares Blooming bei hellen Elementen auf dunklem Grund.
Der TCL QM8K in 75 Zoll ist ein direkter Größenrivale. Auch er setzt auf Mini-LED und ist mit Spitzenhelligkeiten über 2.000 Nits ein echtes Biest für helle Räume. Allerdings sind die Schwarzwerte und die Blickwinkelstabilität eines OLED aus unserer Sicht nicht zu erreichen. In einer dunklen Heimkino-Umgebung spielt der C1 einfach eine Nummer detailreicher und überzeugender, während der TCL in hellen Szenen weiter aufdrehen kann. Der Hisense U8 65-Zoll bietet ebenfalls viel Helligkeit und ist günstiger, aber mit 65 Zoll deutlich kleiner – und die Unterschiede in der Farbtreue und beim Schwarzwert bleiben spürbar.
