Performances
Côté performances brutes, le Core Ultra 5-135U à 12 cœurs reste dans la moyenne de notre base de données, au 49e percentile. Concrètement, il gère sans sourciller la bureautique lourde, les feuilles Excel monstrueuses et une bonne vingtaine d'onglets Chrome. Mais ne vous attendez pas à des miracles en montage vidéo ou en rendu 3D, la puce graphique intégrée Intel est tout juste moyenne elle aussi (54e percentile). Le vrai point fort, c'est la RAM : 32 Go de LPDDR5X soudée, qui le place parmi les meilleurs de sa catégorie. C'est un régal pour le multitâche intensif. L'écran 14 pouces IPS 1920x1200, 60 Hz et 400 nits, couvre 100% du sRGB, ce qui est solide pour du travail de bureau, du web ou un peu de retouche photo légère. Avec un score de 69e percentile, il est bien au-dessus de la moyenne sans être exceptionnel. Le stockage de 512 Go NVMe est correct, dans la moyenne lui aussi. Pour être clair, ce n'est pas une machine de guerre pour les jeux (on l'a noté 21,4/100 en gaming), mais pour la productivité en déplacement, ça envoie.

Rapport qualité-prix
Avec un écart de 235 dollars entre les revendeurs, le prix d'entrée autour de 2129 dollars rend ce ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 attractif, surtout si on le compare aux autres ultraportables pros comme le HP ZBook Ultra G1a ou le Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro. La qualité de fabrication et le suivi Lenovo justifient en grande partie l'investissement. Face à la concurrence directe, le X1 Carbon Gen 12 fait valoir son poids. Le Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro est un sérieux rival avec un écran AMOLED magnifique et des performances similaires, mais il est un peu plus lourd et son clavier ne rivalise pas avec le feeling signature des ThinkPad.
