ASUS se ha sacado un as bajo la manga con este XG27AQDMG. Es un monitor gaming OLED de 27 pulgadas, resolución QHD y una frecuencia de 240 Hz que responde en 0.03 ms, y encima usa un panel WOLED de tercera generación con acabado brillante. La diferencia con la mayoría de OLED que hay por ahí es que este brilla de verdad, sobre todo en HDR.

Rendimiento
Aquí es donde este ASUS se luce. El panel WOLED brillante y esos 724 nits pico en HDR (medidos por terceros) son una locura para un OLED de esta categoría, dejando atrás a muchos QD-OLED que apenas llegan a 400 nits. Los 240 Hz son pura seda, y el input lag es casi inexistente, perfecto para shooters competitivos. Eso sí, en escritorio la claridad de texto no es tan nítida como en un QD-OLED, y algún usuario ha tenido algún que otro problema de firmware. Pero para jugar, el conjunto es bestial.

Relación calidad-precio
El precio oficial no está claro, pero en el mercado ves cosas muy dispares: desde 549 dólares en tiendas como Newegg (unidades Open Box) hasta cifras absurdas por encima de los 10000 dólares. Si encuentras una unidad por debajo de los 700 pavos, la relación calidad-precio es sobresaliente. Por el brillo HDR, el acabado brillante y la suavidad de los 240 Hz, no hay mucho que compita directamente a ese coste. Eso sí, evita pagar una locura; a más de 900, el panorama cambia.
Frente a la competencia
Comparado con monstruos como el LG UltraGear 45GX900A o el Samsung Odyssey Neo G9, este ASUS es más pequeño y plano, sin curvatura. Pero los que buscan un 27 pulgadas QHD para juegos competitivos prefieren justamente eso. Los QD-OLED de MSI o Alienware suelen tener mejor claridad de texto y ángulos de visión, pero se quedan cortos en brillo HDR. Si lo tuyo es el gaming en habitaciones con algo de luz y quieres un glossy OLED que realmente se vea brillante, el XG27AQDMG es el que más destaca de este lote.

Se puede usar, pero no es su fuerte. La claridad del texto está por detrás de un QD-OLED o un buen IPS 4K; si pasas muchas horas leyendo, te cansarás más de la cuenta.
Q: ¿El panel OLED tiene riesgo de quemarse con barras de tareas fijas?
ASUS incluye un disipador personalizado y funciones OLED Care que mitigan el riesgo, pero como todo OLED, conviene no abusar de imágenes estáticas durante muchas horas.
Q: ¿Funciona bien con consolas como PS5 o Xbox Series X?
Sí, pero ten en cuenta que solo soporta 1440p a 120 Hz por HDMI; no es 4K nativo. Si buscas la mejor experiencia en consola, un monitor 4K HDMI 2.1 te vendría mejor.
Para quién no es adecuado
No lo compres si tu día a día son hojas de cálculo y código. La claridad de texto de un QD-OLED o un buen panel IPS 4K le da cien vueltas, y hay monitores de oficina más baratos y mejor adaptados. Tampoco es para ti si necesitas un ultrawide curvo o 4K nativo; aquí estás en 1440p plano de 27 pulgadas.

Si eres un jugador de PC que valora la fluidez a 240 Hz, el contraste OLED y un HDR que de verdad impresiona, este monitor es una apuesta segura. Encaja especialmente bien si vienes de un IPS o un VA y quieres dar el salto a una experiencia visual que te haga decir "wow". No es la mejor herramienta para editar documentos todo el día, pero para eso ya hay otras opciones.
