Pour du montage vidéo SDR ou des photos, c'est amplement suffisant. Pour profiter pleinement du contenu HDR, il faut se tourner vers un écran HDR 600 ou mieux.
À qui ce produit ne convient pas
Passez votre chemin si vous êtes un joueur cherchant de la vitesse : les 60 Hz et la réactivité moyenne du PA329CV ne suivront pas la cadence des FPS ou des MOBA modernes. De même, si vous consommez beaucoup de films ou de jeux HDR, le DisplayHDR 400 est trop faible pour offrir une expérience immersive. Pour ces usages, un MSI MPG 321CURX QD-OLED ou un Alienware 34" QD-OLED feront bien mieux, malgré un budget plus élevé.
Fuyez aussi si vous êtes exclusivement sur Mac et que vous ne voulez pas entendre parler de bidouille de firmware. La dépendance à un PC Windows pour d'éventuelles mises à jour du contrôleur USB-C est un irritant notable. Dans ce cas, un Dell UltraSharp certifié Thunderbolt vous simplifiera la vie, même s'il coûte un peu plus cher.
Verdict
On recommande chaudement l'ASUS ProArt PA329CV à tous les créatifs qui cherchent un grand écran 4K couleur-fidèle pour un usage photo, vidéo ou design. L'affichage est superbe, la calibration d'usine vous épargne des heures de réglages, et l'ergonomie est un vrai plus pour le confort au quotidien. Si vous travaillez sur Mac, vous apprécierez le USB-C 90W, mais gardez un PC Windows sous le coude au cas où une mise à jour du firmware serait nécessaire.
En revanche, si votre activité inclut une dose régulière de jeu, de montage HDR exigeant ou de consommation multimédia, ce n'est pas le bon candidat. Les 60 Hz et le HDR 400 sont trop justes. Pour ces profils, un écran gaming récent ou une dalle OLED seront bien plus adaptés, quitte à sacrifier la calibration d'usine.
