The MSI Cubi NUC AI+ is a tiny desktop that gets one thing right: it stuffs 32GB of DDR5 RAM and Thunderbolt into a package lighter than a Mac mini. But at around $1,350, you're paying a huge premium for that compact size and the AI branding. For business users who spend all day in spreadsheets and video calls, it's a perfectly capable little workhorse. For anyone else, the price tag feels hard to justify.

We were genuinely surprised by how snappy this thing feels in everyday productivity, thanks to that generous RAM and a fast SSD. Start throwing virtual machines or heavy multi-tasking at it and it holds up well. But our database puts the integrated Arc 140V graphics dead in the middle of the pack, so don't expect to game or edit video smoothly. If you're looking for a mini PC that can game or handle heavy creative workloads, this isn't it. Go get something with a discrete GPU, or just buy a Mac mini M4. If you need a fanless dead-silent machine, this has a fan and you'll hear it spin up under load. And if budget matters, there are plenty of $600 Windows mini PCs that do the same office grind.

Skip the Cubi NUC AI+ unless you need a Windows 11 Pro mini PC with 32GB of RAM and Thunderbolt in the smallest possible footprint, and your IT budget has money to burn. The Mac mini M4 is a better computer for less cash, and there are far cheaper Windows alternatives that do the same boring office work just fine.
