Prestazioni
Il processore Snapdragon X Elite a 12 core piazza questo Surface nel 99° percentile delle CPU che abbiamo testato. Apri venti schede di Chrome, Excel e Teams insieme e non si scompone. L'avvio è fulmineo e la NPU per le funzioni AI di Copilot+ fa il suo dovere. Peccato che la GPU integrata sia solo nella media: lo streaming e l'editing leggero vanno bene, ma i giochi sono fuori discussione (8.8 su 100). La batteria da 54Wh regge una giornata lavorativa senza affanni, almeno stando a quanto dicono diversi possessori, ma la variabilità segnalata ci fa mantenere un pizzico di cautela.

Rispetto alla concorrenza
Messo fianco a fianco con un MacBook Air M3, lo Snapdragon X Elite vince a mani basse nei benchmark multi-core e la durata della batteria è simile. Ma Apple ha un ecosistema software che non fa una piega, mentre qui ogni tanto inciampi. Il Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro è l'alternativa Windows ARM più agguerrita, ma il Surface ha una qualità costruttiva superiore. L'ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 gioca in un altro campionato (gaming), mentre il Lenovo Legion 7i è troppo ingombrante per chi cerca la massima portabilità. In pratica, questo Surface è il re della categoria "ultraportatile elegante", a patto di accettarne i compromessi.
