Right now, this thing sits at the top of our display and performance charts, and for good reason. The image quality is simply jaw-dropping. HDR content looks stunning thanks to those perfect OLED blacks and surprisingly punchy brightness. But it's not flawless. There are no built-in speakers, and you'll need a serious GPU to push 4K at high frame rates. Still, if you want the best 4K gaming monitor money can buy today, this is it.

What surprised us the most? The burn-in protection isn't just marketing fluff. ASUS packed a custom heatsink, clever airflow, and a graphene film to keep this panel running cooler than most OLEDs. In our testing, even after marathon gaming sessions, there was no noticeable image retention. The 0.03ms response time is ludicrously quick—the absolute best we've measured. And FreeSync Premium Pro compatibility worked beautifully with both AMD and Nvidia cards right out of the box. It's essentially tear-free, blur-free bliss. The one small thing: you'll want to enable that uniform brightness setting for desktop work to avoid auto-dimming quirks.
