Su punto fuerte son los 120 Hz, G-SYNC, Dolby Vision IQ y cuatro HDMI 2.1, todo en un panel con contraste infinito. El punto flaco es el brillo en entornos muy iluminados y un procesador que ya no es el más rápido. Si lo encuentras por menos de 1500 dólares, es una compra casi obligada para los amantes del cine en casa y los jugones exigentes.

Aquí tienes uno de esos televisores que, incluso años después de su lanzamiento, sigue generando conversación. El LG OLED C1 de 77 pulgadas (OLED77C1PUB) es un monstruo de pantalla con píxeles autoiluminados, y esa tecnología hace magia cuando apagas las luces. La propuesta es sencilla pero contundente: un panel OLED de casi 77 pulgadas, procesador α9 Gen 4, Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos y todas las virguerías gaming que puedas pedir (G-SYNC, FreeSync, VRR, 4K a 120 Hz en sus cuatro HDMI 2.1). Rendimiento
Vamos al grano: el rendimiento en juegos de este bicho es sobresaliente. Con una frecuencia de actualización nativa de 120 Hz y un tiempo de respuesta de 1 ms, la fluidez es total. Hemos probado desde shooters competitivos hasta aventuras cinematográficas, y la combinación de G-SYNC Compatible y FreeSync Premium elimina cualquier atisbo de tearing. Los cuatro puertos HDMI 2.1 son un detalle que muchos televisores actuales envidian, así que puedes conectar PC, consola y lo que quieras sin andar haciendo malabares. En nuestras pruebas, el input lag en modo juego es imperceptible, prácticamente a la altura de un monitor gaming dedicado. Si el gaming es tu prioridad absoluta, el C1 saca un 100 sobre 100 en esa categoría, y lo respalda en el uso diario.
En cuanto a imagen, la clave está en esos píxeles autoemisivos. El contraste es infinito: los negros son realmente negros, no grises oscuros, y eso realza cada escena con luces y sombras. El procesador α9 Gen 4 hace un trabajo sólido con el escalado de contenidos inferiores a 4K y la gestión del ruido, aunque notamos que en escenas muy complejas se queda un peldaño por detrás de los procesadores más modernos. El Dolby Vision IQ ajusta la imagen según la luz ambiente, lo que ayuda un poco en habitaciones no tan oscuras. Eso sí, la puntuación de calidad de imagen general en nuestro ranking es de un 70 percentil, lo cual puede chocar, pero se explica porque los paneles QD-OLED y Mini LED más recientes suben el listón en brillo pico y volumen de color. Aún así, en una sala con luz controlada, la experiencia cinematográfica es simplemente bestial.

Relación calidad-precio
El precio del LG C1 de 77 pulgadas es una montaña rusa según dónde mires: hemos visto diferencias de hasta 701 dólares entre vendedores, con un rango que va de 1299 a 2000 dólares. Si consigues la versión por debajo de los 1500 pavos, estás ante un chollo de los que no aparecen todos los días: una pantalla OLED enorme con capacidades gaming de primer nivel a un precio que rivaliza con televisores LCD de gama alta. En Amazon suele aparecer la mejor oferta, y merece la pena activar alertas de precio. En el extremo alto de la horquilla, sin embargo, la cosa cambia, porque empiezas a rozar el territorio de los Mini LED tope de gama o incluso QD-OLED de pulgadas similares en ofertas puntuales.
Dicho esto, la relación rendimiento-precio sigue siendo muy buena para el usuario que prime el cine en penumbra y el gaming fluido. Si tu prioridad es el brillo máximo o tener el último procesador, quizá esos 2000 dólares estén mejor invertidos en otra parte. Pero por 1299, el C1 ofrece una experiencia visual que pocos televisores actuales pueden igualar a ese coste.
Frente a la competencia
El principal rival en precio y prestaciones gaming es el Samsung QN90F (QN90FAFXZA), un Mini LED bestialmente brillante que aguanta cualquier habitación luminosa, pero que renuncia al Dolby Vision y a los negros perfectos del OLED. Para los que ven mucho contenido en HDR durante el día, el Samsung es más versátil. El Hisense U8 (65U8QG) es otro contendiente interesante: su relación calidad-precio es espectacular, con un brillo altísimo y soporte Dolby Vision, aunque ni de lejos alcanza el contraste nativo del C1. Eso sí, el Hisense suele ser mucho más barato, lo que lo convierte en la opción sensata si el presupuesto aprieta.
Si miramos hacia la gama alta, el TCL QM7K Series (98QM7K) y su inmenso panel de 98 pulgadas ofrece una experiencia más cinematográfica por tamaño, aunque con tecnología Mini LED y un rendimiento fuera de ángulo más limitado. Para los puristas de la precisión de color, el Sony BRAVIA 5 (K55XR50) es un competidor directo, aunque su panel de 55 pulgadas se queda pequeño al lado del monstruo de 77 pulgadas que analizamos. La decisión se resume en: ¿quieres el negro absoluto y el gaming sin concesiones del OLED de LG, o prefieres un todoterreno más brillante que no te obligue a cerrar persianas?
