A beautiful, featherweight laptop that's better at being portable than it is at being an AI powerhouse. Get it for the design, not the hype.

The Dell XPS 13 Copilot+ PC is a sleek, premium laptop that's trying to be the poster child for Windows AI. The one thing you need to know is that it's a fantastic ultraportable, but the AI features are more of a promise than a proven advantage right now. It feels great, looks sharp, and is one of the best compact laptops we've tested, ranking in the 93rd percentile for portability. But if you're buying this specifically for 'Copilot+' magic, you might be underwhelmed.

Performance is solid, but not a standout. The Intel Core Ultra 7 CPU lands in the 60th percentile, meaning it's about average for a premium laptop. It handles multitasking and everyday tasks fine, but it won't blow you away. The integrated Arc GPU is a bit better, sitting in the 63rd percentile, which is decent for light photo editing or video playback, but it's nowhere near a dedicated graphics card. What surprised us was the mediocre reliability ranking (26th percentile) in our database, which suggests some owners have had issues. The screen is nice—a bright 120Hz panel—but it's just a standard LCD, not the OLED you'd get on some competitors.

Prices range from $1249 to $1400. At the lower end, it's a decent value for the build quality and portability. At $1400, it starts to feel expensive for what you get, especially with only 512GB of storage. We'd say it's worth it only if you find it for around $1250 and prioritize a super-light Windows laptop over raw power.

The most direct competitor is the Microsoft Surface Laptop Copilot+ PC. It's similar in spirit but often has better battery life and a more polished feel, though it can be pricier. If you want real AI performance and a better screen, the ASUS ProArt PX13 with its OLED display and Ryzen AI 9 chip is a stronger choice, but it's less portable. And let's be honest, if you don't need Windows, the Apple MacBook Pro is a more powerful and reliable machine across the board, though you lose the Copilot+ features.

If you're a serious content creator, gamer, or need a bulletproof workhorse, skip this. The GPU is integrated, storage is small, and reliability data is shaky. Go get an ASUS ProArt with an OLED and RTX 4050, or a Lenovo Legion if gaming is your thing.

We recommend the Dell XPS 13 Copilot+ PC if you're a student, frequent traveler, or anyone who wants a very light, very nice-looking Windows laptop. It's a great daily driver.
