En cristiano: es una pantalla que compite con las mejores del mercado, con colores que cubren el 100% de DCI-P3 y un brillo de 400 nits que se defiende bien en interiores, aunque al sol se queda algo corta. Está pensada para profesionales que necesitan una máquina Windows fiable, rápida y que no pese nada, pero que además quieren disfrutar de una experiencia visual de primer nivel.

Con un Intel Core Ultra 7 258V de 8 núcleos y 32GB de RAM LPDDR5X, el EliteBook Ultra G1i apunta a las tareas de productividad más exigentes, edición de contenido ligero y, como no, a esas funciones de Copilot+ que tanto están dando que hablar. El procesador tiene músculo —está en el 63 percentil de nuestra tabla—, así que no es un líder absoluto, pero se desenvuelve con soltura en multitarea y aplicaciones de oficina. Eso sí, los gráficos integrados Intel Arc con 16GB de VRAM compartida son decentes para el día a día, pero no esperes jugar a títulos modernos en calidad alta; aquí el enfoque está en otra cosa.

El diseño es claramente profesional, con un acabado en azul atmósfera que disimula bien las huellas y un teclado retroiluminado cómodo para escribir durante horas. Eso sí, el almacenamiento de 512GB puede quedarse corto si trabajas con archivos grandes, y al ser un SSD NVMe ultrarrápido, ampliarlo será fácil pero tendrás que rascarte el bolsillo. Rendimiento

En pruebas sintéticas, el Core Ultra 7 258V se mueve en la zona media-alta de nuestra tabla. No es un i9 de sobremesa, pero para tareas como compilar código, editar fotos en Lightroom o tener 30 pestañas de Chrome abiertas con Slack y Teams, va sobrado. Los 32GB de RAM, en el percentil 93, son un seguro de vida para los próximos tres años, y la velocidad del SSD, aunque de 512GB, se sitúa en una zona sólida, así que los arranques y las transferencias son instantáneos. La gráfica integrada Intel Arc rinde parecido a una GTX 1650 de hace unos años, así que puedes jugar a títulos como Civilization VI o Overwatch 2 en configuraciones medias sin problemas, pero en juegos AAA se queda sin fuelle.

La refrigeración en un chasis tan fino es un reto. Cuando aprietas la CPU, los ventiladores se ponen a 45dB, un ruido notorio pero no insoportable. En cargas ligeras, como Office o navegación, es prácticamente inaudible. La batería de 64Wh, con la pantalla OLED a 120Hz, da para unas 7 horas de trabajo real, aunque si bajas la tasa de refresco y el brillo puedes estirarla hasta 9. No es un récord, pero en un portátil de 1.19kg no está mal. Lo que sí echamos de menos es una gestión térmica más agresiva en el modo batería, porque a veces el procesador se capa un poco para ahorrar energía, y eso se nota al renderizar.

Quedémonos con la referencia realista de $2,299. Por ese dinero te llevas una pantalla OLED de 120Hz bestial, 32GB de RAM y un chasis ultraligero con Windows 11 Pro. Comparado con rivales como el Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro, que suele rondar precios similares pero con pantalla AMOLED de 60Hz y menos RAM base, la HP gana en fluidez y en productividad multitarea. Sin embargo, si valoras el almacenamiento, un MSI Prestige de 1TB con gráfica Iris Xe puede costarte unos $300 menos, aunque sacrificas calidad de construcción y resolución.
