Lenovo 13w 13w Gen 3 83M9000DUS 13.3" Touchscreen Convertible 2 in 1 Review
The Lenovo 13w Gen 3 packs outdated, slow components into a portable body. At $780, its terrible performance makes it impossible to recommend.
Overview
The Lenovo 13w Gen 3 is a weird one. It's a compact, reliable business laptop that feels like it got lost on its way to 2018. The one thing you need to know? This thing is slow. Like, 'opening a second browser tab makes it think' slow. It's built for basic office work and not a single thing more, and even that might be a stretch.
Performance
Let's talk about that CPU, which sits in the 1st percentile. That means it's slower than 99% of laptops we test. The AMD 1200 is ancient, and it shows. The 8GB of RAM is barely enough for Windows and a few apps, and the integrated graphics are exactly what you'd expect from a chip this old. It's fine for opening PDFs and Word docs, but don't even think about multitasking or having more than five Chrome tabs open.

Value & Pricing
At $780, this is a tough sell. You're paying for a durable, portable chassis wrapped around components that were outdated five years ago. For the same money, you can get a modern budget laptop that will run circles around this thing.
Price History
vs Competition
Don't even look at the gaming laptops on the competitor list; they're in a different universe. For a real comparison, look at a modern budget ultrabook like an ASUS Zenbook. For a similar price, you'll get a faster, more efficient CPU, a better screen, and modern ports. If you're in the Apple ecosystem, even a base model MacBook Air M1, which you can often find for less, will feel like a spaceship next to this.

Verdict
I can't recommend this laptop to anyone. Its only purpose is as a fleet device for a company that needs the absolute cheapest, most durable machine for data entry. For a student, business user, or anyone else, there are vastly better options at this price point. Save your money and look elsewhere.
