The Galaxy Book3 360 offers a beautiful OLED screen and 2-in-1 flexibility at a shockingly low price. But its 8GB of RAM is a serious bottleneck for modern use.

Overview

The Galaxy Book3 360 is a slick 2-in-1 that nails the basics. It's super portable, has a gorgeous OLED screen, and the 360 hinge means you can use it as a laptop or tablet. It's built for someone who wants a premium-feeling Windows machine for everyday tasks, not for heavy lifting.

Performance

The Intel Core i5-1340P CPU is decent for office work and web browsing, landing in the 55th percentile. But the 8GB of RAM is a real bottleneck, sitting in the bottom 10th percentile. That's not much for 2024, and you'll feel it if you have too many tabs or apps open. The Intel Iris Xe graphics are fine for streaming, but forget about gaming. It scored a 5.5 out of 100 there.

Value & Pricing

At its current price of $375, this is a tricky one. You're getting a premium OLED display and a flexible 2-in-1 design for a song. But that 8GB of RAM is a huge compromise. If your workload is very light and you just need a portable screen for media and documents, it's a steal. If you need to do more, that RAM will hold you back fast.

$375

vs Competition

Compared to a base MacBook Air, you get the touchscreen and 2-in-1 flexibility here, but the Apple silicon will run circles around it in performance and battery life. Against a Lenovo ThinkPad, you lose some business-grade toughness and upgradeability for a much better screen. The real competition might be other used or refurbished ultrabooks where you can find 16GB of RAM for a similar price. The Asus Zenbook Duo, for example, offers way more screen real estate and power for creators, but at a much higher cost.

Verdict

Buy this if you're a very casual user who values a stunning, portable screen above all else and can live with light multitasking. Students taking notes or travelers watching movies will love it. But if you need to run several programs at once or plan to keep this for years, that 8GB of RAM makes it a hard sell, even at this price.
