The Acer Nitro 5 is a classic budget gaming laptop. It's got the core specs you need to play modern titles at 1080p, and that 144Hz screen is a nice touch for the price. But you're not getting a premium machine here. It's a straightforward, no-frills box that gets you into the game without emptying your wallet.

The Intel 12500H CPU and RTX 3050 Ti 4GB combo is decent for 1080p gaming. You'll hit playable frame rates in most games, especially if you tweak settings. That 144Hz screen is great for fast-paced shooters. The weak spots are clear though. The GPU lands in the 69th percentile, so it's fine, but not a powerhouse. The reliability score is shockingly low at the 8th percentile, which is a real red flag.

At around $861, it's priced right in the thick of the budget gaming market. You're getting acceptable performance for your money. Just know you're making some serious trade-offs, especially on build quality and long-term reliability. It's a value pick, but not a steal.

It's way cheaper than a MacBook Pro or a high-end Legion, but you get what you pay for.
