The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 Chromebook is a basic machine that knows its lane. It's for getting online, handling docs, and streaming videos, and it does those simple jobs without fuss.

You're looking at a 15.6-inch FHD screen, 8GB of RAM, and a 64GB eMMC drive. Those specs tell you everything. This isn't a powerhouse, it's a straightforward tool for web-based tasks.

The AMD 4500 CPU and integrated Intel UHD Graphics are fine for Chrome OS. It'll handle a dozen browser tabs and YouTube without breaking a sweat. But that's the ceiling. Gaming is a non-starter, scoring in the bottom 5% of laptops. The 64GB storage is also painfully small, landing in the 6th percentile. You'll be living in the cloud or using a microSD card.

At around $160, it's hard to complain too much. You're getting a functional laptop for web browsing, email, and basic schoolwork. The value is there if your needs are minimal. Just know you're buying a device with severe limitations in storage and power.

This isn't competing with the MacBook Pros or gaming laptops on that list. For a real budget Windows alternative, look at used business laptops like an older ThinkPad. They'll offer more storage and flexibility for a similar price. Compared to other Chromebooks, this one's okay, but that tiny storage is a major drawback against models with 128GB.

Buy this only if your budget is absolutely locked at $160 and you only need a machine for the internet. It's a fit for a very specific person: a student who does everything in Google Classroom and Chrome, or someone who needs a dedicated second screen for streaming. For anyone else, saving a bit more for more storage is a much smarter move.
