Die Sony WH-1000XM4 sind auch Jahre nach ihrem Release eine Bank. Ja, es gibt mittlerweile neuere Modelle, aber bei Geräuschunterdrückung und Klang spielen sie immer noch ganz oben mit. Das ANC ist bärenstark, der Sound über LDAC erste Sahne und die Akkulaufzeit mit 30 Stunden solide genug für den Alltag. Dazu kommt eine erstklassige Mikrofonqualität für Anrufe, was im Homeoffice Gold wert ist. Wenn du viel unterwegs bist und einfach deine Ruhe haben willst, sind die Dinger ein No-Brainer.
Doch nicht alles ist perfekt. Der Sitz ist mit 254g okay, aber auf Dauer drücken sie bei manchen Ohren. Komfort ist nämlich nur Mittelfeld, und das merkt man nach ein paar Stunden. Auch die Verarbeitung ist zwar gut, aber nicht auf dem Level von Edelkonkurrenten wie Bowers & Wilkins. Dafür packst du sie klein zusammen und die Touch-Bedienung ist im Alltag praktisch. Kurzum: ANC-Referenz zum fairen Preis, mit kleinen Abzügen beim Tragekomfort.

Der Sound der XM4 ist schlichtweg top, 97. Perzentil in unserer Datenbank. Er ist warm, detailreich und lässt sich per EQ feintunen. Für Hi-Res über LDAC gemacht, klingt so ziemlich jedes Genre satt. Die Geräuschunterdrückung? Mit 88. Perzentil eines der besten Systeme, das Wind und Gebrabbel zuverlässig schluckt, nur bei plötzlichen Spitzenfrequenzen gibt es manchmal leichte Aussetzer. Das Mikrofon ist im 87. Perzentil und filtert Hintergrundlärm bei Anrufen richtig gut. Akku: 30 Stunden sind normal für die Klasse (73.
