The Samyang 85mm f/1.4 is a classic portrait lens that gives you one thing and one thing only: a big, beautiful aperture for the price. It's a one-trick pony, but that trick is making people look amazing with creamy background blur. Just know going in that everything else about this lens is a compromise. The build feels a bit plasticky, the autofocus is just okay, and it's not exactly a versatile walk-around lens.
