The 11-inch iPad with the A16 chip is Apple's latest mainstream tablet. It's got a sharp screen, a fast processor, and all the iPadOS apps you'd expect. But it's still just an iPad. It's fantastic for watching shows, browsing the web, and light gaming, but it hits a wall when you try to do real work. That's the fundamental trade-off here.

The A16 chip is quick, landing in the 65th percentile for both CPU and GPU. Apps open fast, and games run smoothly. The 11-inch Liquid Retina display looks great, sitting in the 73rd percentile. The weak spot is the RAM, which is in the bottom 28th percentile. That's why multitasking feels clunky and why it scores so low (43.6/100) for productivity. The battery life is also just average, in the 48th percentile.

At around $340, it's a solid value if you want a premium-feeling tablet for media and light tasks. You're paying for the Apple ecosystem, the build quality, and that great screen. But you have to be honest about what you need. If you're hoping to replace a laptop, the cost of the tablet plus the keyboard will make you question your choices.

Compared to the iPad Pro, you lose the M-series chip power, ProMotion display, and better multitasking. The Surface Pro 11 runs full Windows, so it's a true laptop replacement, but it's heavier and more expensive. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ has a better screen and more RAM for multitasking, and Android is more flexible for file management. This iPad wins on pure simplicity and app polish, but loses on versatility.

Buy this if you're all-in on Apple and just want a fantastic screen for Netflix, web browsing, and casual gaming. It's the best 'simple' tablet. Don't buy it if you need to do serious multitasking or want a laptop alternative. For that, look at a Surface Pro or even a used iPad Pro.
