Lenovo T Series 14" ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 Review

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 is a classic business laptop that's been updated for 2024. It's got a solid build, a ton of RAM, and modern connectivity like WiFi 7 and Thunderbolt 4. But it's still a ThinkPad through and through, which means it's built for work, not play.

With 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD, this thing is super responsive for daily multitasking. The Intel 265U CPU lands in the 49th percentile, so it's fine for office apps but not a powerhouse. And the integrated Intel Graphics are exactly what you'd expect, hitting the 50th percentile. It's not for gaming or heavy creative work, but it'll handle spreadsheets and video calls all day. The 58Wh battery is decent, but not class-leading.

At over $2000, this is a tough sell. You're paying a premium for the ThinkPad brand, that excellent keyboard, and the business-ready features like Windows 11 Pro. The 32GB of RAM is a huge plus, but the middling CPU and integrated graphics make the price feel high. You can get more raw performance for less money elsewhere, but not necessarily this specific blend of portability and business durability.

Compared to an Apple MacBook Pro, you lose a ton of CPU/GPU performance and battery life, but you gain Windows, more ports, and that legendary keyboard. Next to an ASUS Zenbook Duo, you get a more traditional, reliable single-screen experience instead of dual-screen novelty. And against gaming laptops like the MSI Vector, the ThinkPad is far more portable and professional, but can't game at all. It's a trade-off between specialized business tools and raw power.

Buy this if you're a business user or IT department that lives and dies by the ThinkPad keyboard and needs a super-reliable, well-connected, and portable Windows machine with lots of RAM. Don't buy it if you need serious processing power, want to game, or are just looking for the best performance per dollar.
