The Fujifilm X100VI is a camera you buy with your heart, not your head. It's a beautiful, expensive, and slightly stubborn tool that's perfect for one specific person: the photographer who wants a classic, all-in-one camera for street and travel. The one thing to know is that it's a fixed-lens camera. You get a fantastic 35mm-equivalent f/2 lens, and that's it. No swapping. If you're okay with that constraint, you're in for a treat.

The Sony A6700 is the direct competitor for your brain. It has a similar APS-C sensor, vastly better autofocus and video, and you can change lenses. It's the smarter, more versatile buy. The Canon R6 Mark II is a full-frame powerhouse that blows the X100VI away in performance, but it's bigger and more expensive with a lens. The Fujifilm X100VI wins on style, size, and the pure joy of shooting with a dedicated tool.

Buy the Fujifilm X100VI if you're a photographer who values the experience and constraints of a classic rangefinder-style camera, and you love the 35mm focal length. It's a masterpiece for street and travel photography. For everyone else, especially if you need video, fast autofocus, or lens flexibility, the Sony A6700 is the clear and better choice.
