Lenovo Tab M Refurbished Excellent 9" Review
The Lenovo Tab M9 is a budget tablet that fails at the basics. With only 32GB of storage and sluggish performance, it's not worth even its low price.
Overview
Look, the Lenovo Tab M9 is a cheap tablet, and it feels like one. The one thing you need to know is that this is a device for the absolute basics: watching a single video, maybe checking email, and that's about it. It's not built for speed, it's not built for storage, and it's definitely not built to be your main device. If you need a screen for a kid to watch cartoons on a short car ride and you don't care if it gets broken, this might be your pick. Otherwise, keep scrolling.
Performance
Honestly, nothing surprised me in a good way. The performance is exactly what you'd expect from a tablet scoring in the bottom third for CPU and GPU. It's sluggish. Opening apps takes a beat, scrolling can be janky, and trying to do more than one thing at a time is asking for trouble. The 32GB of storage is a joke; you'll fill that up with a handful of apps and a few episodes of a show. It's functional, but just barely.

Value & Pricing
At $124, it's cheap. But 'value' implies you're getting something worthwhile for your money, and I'm not sure you are. You're paying for a functional screen and not much else. It's the kind of purchase you'll regret in six months when it's too slow to update properly.
Price History
vs Competition
Don't compare this to an iPad Pro or a Surface Pro; that's like comparing a tricycle to a sports car. A more relevant, but still superior, competitor is the base model Amazon Fire tablet. For a similar price, you get a more polished ecosystem for media consumption, though it's more locked down. If you need Android and can spend a bit more, even an older Samsung Galaxy Tab A series offers a much better experience. The Legion Go is a gaming handheld, and the Toughbook is a rugged industrial device, so they're not in the same conversation at all.

Verdict
I can't recommend the Lenovo Tab M9. It's a bottom-shelf tablet that makes too many compromises. The terrible storage and weak performance cripple it from the start. Save up a little more money and buy something used or refurbished that won't frustrate you every time you pick it up. This tablet is a last resort.
