Lenovo Lenovo Tab Series Tab One Review

The Lenovo Tab One is a super small and light tablet. It weighs next to nothing and fits anywhere. That's its whole deal. It runs Android 14, which is nice and current, and the 4GB of RAM is just enough for basic apps. But you're not getting a powerhouse here. It's a simple device for simple tasks.

The MediaTek chip and 4GB of RAM are fine for checking email, browsing, and maybe a video. It scores in the 23rd percentile for CPU and 18th for GPU, so don't expect to do much more. The 64GB of slow eMMC storage is a real bottleneck, ranking in the bottom 6%. Gaming is basically a no-go with a 2.8/100 score. The screen is also dim and low-res, sitting in the 5th percentile.

At around $150, it's cheap. You're paying for the ultra-portable form factor and not much else. If you need a super basic, disposable-feeling tablet for reading or videos on the go, the price is right. But you get what you pay for, and that means major compromises on performance and storage.

This isn't competing with those high-end laptops listed. For a real comparison, look at other budget tablets like an Amazon Fire HD or a Samsung Galaxy Tab A. The Tab One is more portable than those, but its screen and storage are worse. Against an iPad, even an old one, there's no contest. The Lenovo is only for someone who values lightness above all else.

Buy this only if your #1 priority is having the smallest, lightest possible Android tablet and you don't care about performance. It's a niche pick for a very specific user. For almost anyone else, especially students or anyone needing to do real work, a slightly heavier tablet with better specs is a much smarter buy.
