La grande novità è l'NPU con 48 TOPS per le esperienze Copilot+, che Microsoft martella in ogni comunicazione. Nella pratica, accelerazioni locali per dettatura, effetti sfondo e ricerca semantica sono fluide, ma siamo ancora agli inizi di un ecosistema che deve maturare. I benchmark nel nostro database lo posizionano bene in RAM (93° percentile) e compattezza (86°), ma CPU e GPU sono solo sopra la media, intorno al 65° percentile. Questo conferma che la forza non è nella potenza bruta, ma nell'equilibrio tra autonomia, silenziosità e quel tocco di AI in più.

Il prezzo ufficiale non è ancora chiaro, ma il rivenditore Newegg lo piazza a 1800 dollari, mentre alcune inserzioni folli lo sparano oltre 700.000 dollari. Prendi per buoni i 1800 e considera che Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro con OLED e RAM simile sta sotto i 1700, e il MacBook Pro M4 Max parte da circa 2000 ma con una potenza grafica dieci volte superiore. Esistono alternative più versatili nella stessa fascia di prezzo, e la mancanza di USB-A potrebbe diventare una scocciatura quotidiana.
