The Dell Pro 14 is a solid, no-frills workhorse for someone who just needs a reliable Windows laptop to get stuff done. It's not flashy, and it's not trying to be. The one thing you need to know is that this is a machine built for basic productivity and portability, not for power users or creatives. It's the laptop you buy when you have a budget and a checklist, not a dream.

Honestly, nothing here is surprising, which is kind of the point. The Intel 120 CPU lands in the 62nd percentile, which means it's perfectly fine for office apps, web browsing, and video calls. The integrated Intel Graphics confirm this isn't a gaming machine, scoring a dead-average 50th percentile. The real letdown is that 256GB SSD, which is stuck in the 16th percentile. You'll be managing your storage from day one.

At $1225, it's a tough sell. You're paying a premium for the 'Pro' name and Windows 11 Pro, but you're getting a tiny SSD and a mediocre screen. For this money, you can find laptops with better displays, more storage, and stronger performance. It's not a good value.

Forget the gaming laptops on the list; they're in a different class. The real competition is the ASUS Zenbook Duo if you want innovative design, or a base model Apple MacBook Air if you're open to macOS. The Zenbook Duo offers a dual-screen gimmick for similar productivity, while the MacBook Air M3 will run circles around this Dell in performance, battery life, and screen quality, often for less money. I can't recommend the Dell Pro 14. It's not terrible, but it's aggressively average in a price range where you should expect more. The pathetic storage and underwhelming screen are deal-breakers.
