LG 16" gram Pro Review

The LG gram Pro is a laptop that's all about being light. At just 1.24kg, it's shockingly portable for a 16-inch machine. It packs a 32GB RAM and 2TB SSD combo that's in the top tier for storage, making it feel super snappy for everyday tasks.

But there's a big trade-off for that featherweight design. Its reliability score is in the 8th percentile, which is alarmingly low. That means you're getting a super light laptop, but you might be sacrificing long-term durability to get it.

With an Intel 258V CPU and 32GB of DDR5 RAM, it handles multitasking and general productivity just fine. The 2TB SSD is blazing fast. However, the Intel Arc integrated graphics, even with 16GB of VRAM, land in the 59th percentile. That means it's okay for light photo editing, but forget about gaming. The 144Hz screen is smooth, but the GPU can't really push high frame rates in demanding apps.

Prices are all over the place, from $1900 to $2550. At the low end, it's a tougher sell. You're paying a premium for the ultra-light design and the great storage/RAM combo. At $1900, it's more justifiable if portability is your absolute top priority. But at $2550, you're deep into MacBook Pro territory, and that's a hard comparison for this LG to win.

Compared to the Apple MacBook Pro 14" with M4, the LG is lighter but gets crushed in CPU/GPU performance and battery life. Next to the ASUS Zenbook Duo, you lose the innovative dual-screen setup but gain a more traditional, lighter single-screen experience. Against gaming beasts like the MSI Vector or Gigabyte AORUS, the LG isn't even in the same league for power. It really only wins on one thing: pure weight.

Buy this if you travel constantly and need the absolute lightest 16-inch screen you can find, and you don't plan on doing any serious gaming or heavy creative work. For everyone else, the reliability concerns and mediocre graphics make competitors like the MacBook Pro or a Lenovo Legion a smarter, more powerful choice for similar money.
