Lenovo Tab M 11 Review

A decent budget tablet for media and reading, but painfully slow for anything else. Its best feature is the all-day battery and the included case and stylus. Worth buying only if you find it under $200 and need a simple screen.

The Lenovo Tab M11 is a budget Android tablet that tries to do a lot for not a lot of money. It comes with a folio case and a stylus right in the box, which is a nice touch you don't always see at this price.

On paper, you get an 11-inch 90Hz screen, a MediaTek Helio G88 chip, 4GB of RAM, and a big 7040mAh battery. It's built for reading, watching videos, and light browsing, not for heavy lifting.

For everyday stuff like scrolling through social media, reading, and streaming video, this tablet is perfectly fine. The 90Hz screen makes scrolling feel smooth, and the quad speakers with Dolby Atmos sound surprisingly good for the price. But that's where the good news ends. The Helio G88 chip and 4GB of RAM are a real bottleneck. Our database shows its CPU performance is in the 1st percentile, meaning it's one of the slowest we've tested. Don't expect to run more than a couple of apps at once, and forget about any serious gaming. The battery, however, is a standout, ranking in the 93rd percentile and easily lasting a full day.

Here's the tricky part. The price we see varies wildly, from a reasonable $190 to an absolutely insane $50,876. Stick to the lower end of that range. At around $200, especially on sale, it's a solid deal because of the included accessories and good battery. Pay anything close to the high end, and you're getting ripped off. The value is entirely dependent on finding it at the right price.

Stacked up against its peers, the Tab M11 is a basic budget option. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S series and Apple iPad Air are in a completely different league in terms of performance and polish, but they cost much more. A closer competitor might be something like the Teclast T65PLUS, which also offers budget specs. The Lenovo's main advantage is the included case and pen, which many rivals make you buy separately. If you need more power for productivity, even a used older iPad will run circles around this.

Skip this if you need a tablet for work, school productivity, or multitasking. The 4GB RAM and anemic CPU will frustrate you. Also, avoid it if you're a mobile gamer; the graphics performance is among the worst we've seen. Look for a tablet with at least 6GB of RAM and a better processor.

Buy this if you want a simple, no-frills tablet for reading books, watching Netflix in bed, or handing to a kid for light games. The included accessories and great battery make it a convenient package for those basic tasks. Just manage your expectations and buy it on sale.
