The Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ is a budget tablet that tries to punch above its weight with a 90Hz screen and a lot of RAM, but the core hardware just can't keep up. The one thing to know is this: it's a media consumption tablet, and not a great one for anything else. The MediaTek chip inside is painfully slow, landing in the 5th percentile for CPU performance in our database. That means basic tasks feel sluggish, and you should forget about gaming or any serious multitasking.

The performance is exactly what you'd expect from a chip in the 5th percentile. It's not a surprise, it's a confirmation. Apps take a beat to open, scrolling can stutter even with that 90Hz refresh rate, and the GPU performance is in the 7th percentile, so even casual games will struggle. The only thing that feels fast is the connectivity, thanks to Bluetooth 5.3. But you can't browse the web with Bluetooth.

At around $310, it's not a good value. You're paying for a spec sheet that looks okay on paper—8GB RAM, 256GB storage—but the engine under the hood is a lawnmower in a car's body. For this price, you can find tablets with much better processors that won't frustrate you daily.

Look at the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro instead. For similar money, you get a larger, sharper 3K display and a processor that won't hold you back as much for general use. If your budget is tight and you're only watching videos, the older Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ is often cheaper and performs about the same. And if you need to do real work, even a base model iPad or a used iPad Air will run circles around the A11+ in productivity, which is this tablet's weakest area at a 29.5/100 score.

If you need a tablet for anything beyond passive watching, skip this. If you want to browse the web smoothly, play games, or use it for light work, go get a Lenovo Idea Tab Pro or a base model iPad instead. This isn't it.

We can't recommend the Galaxy Tab A11+ for most people. It's built for a very specific user who only watches streaming video, listens to music, and reads, and even then, there are better options. The slow processor cripples what could have been a decent budget package. Spend a little more or look for last year's model.
