Sirui Sniper Autofocus Review
The Sirui Sniper set delivers three autofocus f/1.2 primes for a shockingly low price. But you're giving up build quality and some optical precision to get it.
Overview
The Sirui Sniper set gives you three fast primes—23mm, 33mm, and 56mm—all at f/1.2. That's a lot of light-gathering power for the money, and they're all autofocus. It's a kit built for one thing: creating a specific, dreamy look with shallow depth of field.
You're getting lenses that excel at portraits and close-up shots, scoring in the 96th percentile for macro. But they're not travel-friendly, and the build quality is their biggest weakness, landing dead last in that category. Think of these as specialized tools, not all-rounders.
Performance
The autofocus is a real highlight, sitting in the 95th percentile. The STM motors are quick and quiet, and they support eye AF tracking, which is great for portraits. The f/1.2 aperture across all three lenses means you get creamy bokeh (87th percentile) and can shoot in low light. Just know the optical quality itself is middle-of-the-pack (34th percentile), so expect some character and softness wide open, which is part of the 'appealing look' Sirui mentions. The stabilization is solid, too.

Value & Pricing
At around $750 for the set, it's hard to argue with the value. You're getting three autofocus f/1.2 lenses. Individually, that's almost impossible to find at this price point. You're paying for the optical formula and AF system, not premium build materials. If you want that fast-aperture look on a budget, this is one of the most direct ways to get it.
vs Competition
The Viltrox 35mm f/1.7 is cheaper and sharper, but it's just one focal length and slower. The Nikon Z 35mm f/1.8 S is in a different league optically and in build, but it's also much more expensive for one lens. The Meike 55mm f/1.8 is another budget AF option, but again, it's just one focal length. The Sirui set's real trick is offering a complete, fast-aperture trio. You trade some optical perfection and durability for that breadth of coverage and speed.

Verdict
Buy this set if you're a portrait or creative shooter on a Sony E-mount who wants the f/1.2 look across several focal lengths without breaking the bank. The AF makes them easy to use. Avoid them if you need weather-sealing, top-tier sharpness, or a single do-everything travel zoom. These are specialists, and they're very good at their specific job.
