Fujifilm X-S20 Camera w/XF 16-50mm f/2.8-4.8 R LM WR Lens,Black w/Included Value Review
The Fujifilm X-S20 packs video features like 6.2k open gate into a light body, but its overall performance is just average. For $1899, you can probably do better.
Overview
The Fujifilm X-S20 is a compact mirrorless camera that tries to do a bit of everything. It's light, it's powerful, and it's got a new vlog mode that's clearly aimed at content creators. But with scores that put it in the middle of the pack for most features, it's not exactly a specialist in any one area.
Performance
Performance is solid but not spectacular. The autofocus lands in the 46th percentile, so it's fine for general use but might struggle with fast action. Video features are a highlight, with full-sensor 6.2k open gate and 4k/60p livestreaming, though its overall video score is only in the 35th percentile. Battery life and build quality are both right at the 50th percentile mark, so they're average.

Value & Pricing
At $1899, it's a tough sell. You're paying a premium for the Fujifilm name and color science, but the hardware specs don't really justify the price. For the same money, you can find cameras that crush it in photo quality, video performance, or both.
Price History
vs Competition
Look at the Sony a7R IV if you care about photography—its 61MP sensor is in another league. The Canon EOS R6 Mark II is a much better hybrid camera, with far superior autofocus and stabilization. Even Fujifilm's own lineup has better options for vloggers or photographers. The X-S20 feels stuck between niches, and its competitors are more focused.

Verdict
Buy this only if you're deeply invested in the Fujifilm ecosystem and you need a lightweight, do-it-all backup body. For everyone else, there are better cameras for the money that excel in specific areas like video, photos, or vlogging.
