The BRENUC laptop has a fatal flaw: its processor is a turtle in a world of hares. You're buying frustration packaged with a big SSD.

The BRENUC Business Laptop is a classic case of specs on paper not telling the whole story. The one thing you need to know is this: it's a cheap laptop with a cheap processor, and that's going to define your entire experience. While it packs a surprisingly large 1TB SSD and a decently portable 1.3kg chassis, the Intel N150 CPU is a severe bottleneck that lands in the bottom 10th percentile of all laptops we've tested. This isn't a machine for getting work done; it's a machine for waiting.

The performance is exactly what you'd expect from a low-end Intel N-series chip, which is to say, not much. Our database shows its CPU performance ranking in the 7th percentile, which is one of the worst we've seen for a modern laptop. Opening more than a few browser tabs will feel sluggish, and don't even think about multitasking. The surprising part is how they managed to pair such a weak processor with 12GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD. It's like putting racing tires on a golf cart. The storage is solid, but everything else is held back by that anemic CPU.

At $569, this is not worth it. You are paying for storage and a lightweight body, but the core component that makes a computer usable is a major letdown. You can find much more capable used or refurbished business laptops for the same money that won't leave you frustrated.

Forget the listed competitors like the MacBook Pro or Zephyrus G14; they're in a different universe. A more relevant comparison is against other budget Windows machines. A used Lenovo ThinkPad from a few years ago with an Intel Core i5 will run circles around this BRENUC for similar cash. Even a new budget Chromebook offers a smoother experience for basic tasks, though you lose Windows. If you absolutely need a new Windows laptop at this price, look at models with at least an Intel Core i3 or AMD Ryzen 3. The BRENUC's CPU is a non-starter.

If you need a laptop for actual work, school, or even comfortable web browsing, this isn't it. Go find a refurbished business laptop from Lenovo, Dell, or HP. You'll get a better screen, a proper processor, and proven reliability for the same money.

We cannot recommend the BRENUC Business Laptop. The fundamental experience is compromised by a severely underpowered processor. It might be okay as a dedicated kiosk or a machine for typing in a single document, but for any general use, browsing, or multitasking, it will be a source of constant annoyance. Spend your $569 elsewhere.
