Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1 Convertible Review
The Lenovo Flex 14 is a cheap 2-in-1 that includes a pen, but you pay for it with slow performance and a tiny SSD. It's only for very basic needs.
Overview
The Lenovo Flex 14 is a budget 2-in-1 that tries to do a bit of everything. It's a laptop, a tablet, and it even comes with a pen for notes or doodling right out of the box.
For the price, you get a touchscreen, a decent build, and that flexible hinge. It's clearly aimed at students or anyone who needs a basic, portable machine that can switch modes on a whim.
Performance
Let's be real, the AMD 3500U is an older, entry-level chip. Its CPU performance sits in the 11th percentile, so don't expect speed. The integrated Vega 8 graphics are fine for YouTube and very light games, but it scores a 10.6/100 for gaming for a reason. The 12GB of RAM is a nice bump over the usual 8GB, but the 256GB SSD is small and ranks low. This is a machine for getting basic tasks done, not for pushing limits.

Value & Pricing
At around $550, the value is okay if you specifically want a 2-in-1 with a pen. You're paying for that flexibility. The specs are dated, but for web browsing, documents, and streaming, it'll work. Just know you're making big trade-offs in speed and storage capacity for that convertible form factor.
vs Competition
This isn't competing with a MacBook Pro or a gaming laptop. Its real rivals are other budget convertibles. Compared to something like an ASUS Zenbook Duo, you lose the killer second screen but save a ton of cash. Against a standard clamshell laptop at this price, you'd get much better performance, but you'd lose the touchscreen and pen. The Flex 14's niche is being the cheapest way to get a full 2-in-1 experience with a bundled stylus.

Verdict
Buy this if you're a student or casual user on a tight budget who absolutely needs a touchscreen laptop that folds into a tablet and comes with a pen. If raw performance, gaming, or future-proofing matters more to you, look at a traditional laptop instead. This is a tool for specific, simple jobs.
