Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Galaxy Tab S10+ 12.4" Review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ is a premium tablet with a mid-range brain. That gorgeous screen can't hide the fact that this thing is just too slow for the price.
Overview
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ is a weird one. It's a tablet that's trying to be a laptop replacement, but it's built on a foundation that's not quite up to the task. The one thing you need to know is this: it's a fantastic screen and a sleek design wrapped around a surprisingly slow processor. If you just want a beautiful media consumption device, it's great. If you want to do any real work, you'll hit its limits fast.
Performance
The MediaTek processor is the big surprise here, and not in a good way. With CPU and GPU performance landing in the 23rd and 18th percentiles respectively, this thing is slow. It's fine for scrolling through social media and watching videos, but the moment you try to multitask with a few browser tabs open, you'll feel the lag. It's a stark reminder that specs on paper don't always translate to a smooth experience.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- That 12.4-inch screen is gorgeous and puts it in the 76th percentile for display quality. 98th
- It's incredibly portable and well-built, scoring in the 97th percentile for compactness. 81th
- 12GB of RAM is generous for an Android tablet and helps keep apps in memory. 76th
- 512GB of storage is a lot of space for movies, photos, and apps.
Cons
- The MediaTek chip is a major bottleneck. This is not a fast device. 21th
- Forget about gaming. It scored a 4.6 out of 100 in that category. 31th
- The port selection is weak, landing in the 29th percentile, so you'll need dongles for everything. 32th
- It's expensive for what you get, especially when you consider the performance. 35th

Value & Pricing
At $609, it's a tough sell. You're paying a premium for the Samsung brand and that beautiful screen, but you're getting mid-range performance at best. If this was $400, it'd be an easy recommendation. At this price, you're better off looking at a proper laptop or a cheaper tablet.
Price History
vs Competition
This is where it gets awkward. For the same money, the ASUS Zenbook Duo gives you a full Windows laptop with two screens and way more power. If you're locked into Android, a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 or even an S8 will give you 90% of the experience for less cash. And if you just want a tablet for media, the base iPad is cheaper and has a much stronger app ecosystem. The Tab S10+ doesn't win on price, power, or purpose.

Verdict
I can only recommend the Galaxy Tab S10+ to a very specific person: someone who absolutely must have a large, high-quality Android tablet screen and doesn't care about performance or value. For everyone else, there are better, faster, and more sensible options at every turn. Skip this one and get a laptop or a last-gen tablet on sale.
