The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is a big, beautiful screen in a tablet body. It's got that massive 14.6-inch AMOLED display, Wi-Fi 7, and a stylus, making it feel like a premium device right out of the box. But there's a big catch: it has no warranty in the USA, and it's Wi-Fi only, so don't plan on using it as a phone replacement.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip is solid, landing in the 71st percentile for CPU power. It handles everyday tasks and media just fine. The screen is its best feature, sitting in the 84th percentile with that smooth 120Hz refresh. The weak spots are clear, though. RAM and storage are in the bottom third, and the battery life percentile is a disappointing 48. For a tablet this size, you'd expect more stamina.

At nearly $1,000, the value proposition gets shaky. You're paying a premium for that gorgeous screen and Wi-Fi 7. But the lack of a US warranty, combined with middling battery life and weaker-than-expected RAM and storage, makes it hard to recommend at full price unless the screen is your absolute top priority.

Compared to the Apple iPad Pro, you get a bigger screen and more flexible Android file management, but you lose out on app optimization and the powerhouse M-series chips. Against the Microsoft Surface Pro 11, this is a more media-consumption focused device, while the Surface is a full Windows laptop replacement. And next to Samsung's own Tab S10+, you're getting a newer chip and Wi-Fi 7, but you're also dealing with that no-warranty situation.

Buy this only if you're a media junkie who absolutely must have the biggest, best tablet screen and you're comfortable with the warranty risk. For artists or heavy multitaskers, the limited RAM is a concern. Most people should look at the iPad Pro for a polished experience or the Surface Pro 11 if you need a true laptop alternative.
