Honestly, unless you absolutely need a stabilized f/2.8 zoom on a tight budget, there are better choices.

Buy this only if you're on a strict budget and you need a stabilized, constant-aperture zoom for general photography or video on a Canon EF mount. For almost everyone else, especially portrait shooters, look at a sharp prime instead. The optical weaknesses are real.
