The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is a massive Android tablet that's built for one thing: being a big screen. With a 14.6-inch display and 1TB of storage, it's a portable canvas for artists and a decent media machine. But under the hood, it's packing a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip, which is a bit of an odd choice at this price point and puts it in a weird spot.

Performance is a mixed bag. The 16GB of RAM and huge storage are fantastic for multitasking and holding all your files. The screen is gorgeous for drawing and watching movies. But that MediaTek CPU and GPU land in the 34th and 36th percentiles, which means it's not a powerhouse. It'll handle day-to-day tasks fine, but don't expect it to keep up with an iPad Pro or a Surface Pro in raw speed.

At over $1600, the value proposition is tough. You're paying a premium for that giant screen and the massive storage. The problem is the processor doesn't match the price tag. You're getting mid-tier performance in a premium-priced body. If the screen size is your absolute top priority, maybe. But for most people, that's a hard sell.

It's up against some heavy hitters. The 13-inch iPad Pro with the M5 chip runs circles around it in CPU and GPU performance, but you're locked into iPadOS. The Microsoft Surface Pro 11 offers a full Windows experience and much better performance for similar money, though its screen is smaller. Even Samsung's own last-gen Tab S10 Ultra offers a similar experience, likely for less cash now. The Tab S11 Ultra's only real win is screen size.

Buy this only if you're an artist or designer who absolutely needs a giant Android canvas and 1TB of local storage, and you don't care about top-tier processing power. For everyone else—productivity users, entertainment seekers, or anyone who wants the best performance—the iPad Pro, Surface Pro, or even a last-gen model are smarter buys.
