Le Sigma 28-45 mm f/1,8 DG DN Art, c'est un peu l'OVNI que personne n'attendait. Un zoom plein format à ouverture constante f/1,8, le premier du genre, et il est taillé pour les portraitistes et les pros qui en ont marre de jongler entre trois fixes. La promesse : la qualité d'image des focales fixes 28, 35 et 45 mm, sans changer d'objectif, le tout dans un gabarit étonnamment contenu (450 g). La réalité s'en approche sacrément, à condition d'accepter la plage zoom hyper réduite et l'absence de stabilisation. Si vous bossez en studio, en mariage ou en reportage léger, cet objectif va vous faire gagner un temps fou.
Performances
Là où on ne l'attendait pas forcément, c'est sur l'autofocus. Il est foudroyant, quasi au sommet de notre base de données, et le piqué sur l'ensemble de la plage est tout simplement bluffant, même à pleine ouverture. Le bokeh est crémeux avec ses 11 lamelles, et le rendu des couleurs est neutre et précis. En revanche, on a vite regretté l'absence de stabilisation optique : sur un boîtier non stabilisé, il faut monter en ISO ou soigner sa technique à main levée. Pour la vidéo, c'est clairement le point faible.

Le Tamron 28-75 mm f/2,8 Di III VXD G2 (disponible en monture Sony E) reste plus polyvalent pour le voyage ou l'événementiel, mais son ouverture f/2,8 rend moins de flou d'arrière-plan. Si la légèreté et le range sont rois, le Panasonic Lumix S 28-200 mm f/4-7,1 est imbattable, mais il faudra dire adieu à la faible profondeur de champ et à la qualité en basse lumière.
