Sirui Sniper 2 Review

This Sirui Sniper 2 kit is a one-trick pony, but that trick is spectacular. Forget about versatility. You're getting two lenses—a 16mm and a 75mm—that are both f/1.2 monsters, built for one thing: creating insane, creamy, dreamy backgrounds. If you shoot portraits or creative video and live for that bokeh, this is your kit. Just know going in that it's a specialist, not a daily carry.

The bokeh is the story here, and it's stunning. With a 99th percentile ranking, the out-of-focus areas are buttery smooth, thanks in part to those 13-blade apertures. The surprise, honestly, is the autofocus. It lands in the 48th percentile, which means it's fine for posed portraits but can hunt a bit in lower light or for fast-moving subjects. Don't expect Sony-level tracking.
