Das Sigma 28-45mm f/1.8 DG DN Art ist ein Objektiv, das sich nicht an die Regeln hält. Es ist ein Zoom mit konstanter f/1.8 – das gibt's sonst nirgends. Das bedeutet: Du bekommst die Lichtstärke und das Bokeh von fünf guten Festbrennweiten in einem Gehäuse, ohne ständig wechseln zu müssen. Aber die 28-45mm sind auch gnadenlos ehrlich gemeint – das ist kein Allrounder, sondern ein Spezialist für Leute, die genau in diesem Brennweitenfenster arbeiten und dabei die absolute Schärfe wollen.
In unserem Test hat das Sigma vor allem mit seiner optischen Leistung überrascht. Hier wird's kompliziert. Das Sigma wird unter anderem Namen zu Preisen zwischen rund 1.299 und über 2.000 Dollar angeboten – diese Spanne ist absurd. Wer zuschlagen will, sollte genau hinschauen: Das Bundle mit Filterkit und Zubehör bei Newegg liegt am unteren Ende und ist damit der klare Preistipp. Für 1.300 Dollar ist das Objektiv sein Geld wert, wenn du das f/1.8 wirklich nutzt. Alles über 1.500 ist zu viel, dann würde ich lieber auf einen Gebrauchtkauf warten.

Die echte Alternative ist das Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2. Es kostet deutlich weniger, bringt den praktischeren Weitwinkel-bis-Tele-Bereich und ist kaum schwerer. Dafür fehlt ihm das magische f/1.8, und die Schärfe reicht nicht ganz an Sigma heran. Wer dagegen nur eine Festbrennweite sucht, kann auch zum Viltrox AF 25mm f/1.7 E greifen – aber dann ist man halt wieder am Wechseln.
