Met een realistische prijs van $1800 is dit een premium keuze die zijn geld waard is, mits je geen grafisch zwaar werk verricht.
Overzicht
De Microsoft Surface Laptop 7e editie, specifiek dit model EP2-33223, is een laptop die zijn ziel en zaligheid legt bij zakelijke gebruikers en iedereen die een lichte, altijd-aan machine zoekt. Met 1,35 kilo en een dikte van net geen 1,7 centimeter glipt hij moeiteloos in elke tas, en het 13,8 inch scherm met 2304x1536 pixels, 120Hz en 600 nits helderheid is een van de beste die je op dit moment in een ultrabook vindt. Microsoft richt zich duidelijk op het Copilot+ verhaal en dat zie je terug in de Intel Core Ultra 7 processor met een stevige NPU voor AI-taken, aangevuld met 32 GB LPDDR5X werkgeheugen en een 1 TB SSD. Dat klinkt als veel power, en voor dagelijks werk is dat ook zo, maar er is één groot voorbehoud waar we niet omheen kunnen: de grafische prestaties zijn ronduit zwak. Wie deze laptop koopt om te gamen, kan zijn geld beter in een potje stoppen en er schudend naar kijken.
We zien de Surface Laptop 7 vooral als een premium werkmakker voor professionals die veel onderweg zijn en waarde hechten aan een strak design, een schitterend touchscreen en de naadloze integratie met Microsofts eigen diensten. De combinatie van 32 GB RAM en die snelle, zij het middenklasse processor maakt multitasken met tientallen browsertabs, Office-apps en videocalls een fluitje van een cent. Het ontbreken van een dedicated GPU betekent echter dat je videobewerking, 3D-renders of serieuze spreadsheets met zware macro's beter aan een andere machine overlaat. Microsoft positioneert hem als AI-krachtpatser voor Copilot+, maar in de praktijk merk je dat vooral tijdens Teams-vergaderingen met achtergrondvervaging en noise cancelling, niet bij creatief zwaar werk.
Wat meteen opvalt in onze database is hoe extreem dit model uit verschillende hoeken presteert.
