Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE Galaxy Tab S10 FE 10.9" Review

The Galaxy Tab S10 FE is all about portability, but its weak performance and Android OS make it a poor choice for real work. It's a media tablet, not a laptop replacement.

Overview

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE is a weird one. It's a tablet that's trying to be a laptop, but it's not very good at being either. The one thing to know is that it's incredibly compact and portable, scoring in the 99th percentile for that. But that's about where the good news ends. It's running Android 15, which is fine for apps, but a total non-starter for any real work compared to a proper laptop. It's a big screen for watching videos and browsing, but don't expect it to replace your computer.

Performance

The performance is exactly what you'd expect from a mid-tier Android tablet, which is to say, not great for anything demanding. The CPU lands in the 23rd percentile and the GPU is down in the 18th. That 4.4/100 gaming score is no joke. This thing will stutter on anything more intense than Candy Crush. The 12GB of RAM is a nice touch, but it's mostly there to keep a bunch of lightweight apps open, not to power through tasks.

Value & Pricing

At around $340, the value is shaky. You're getting a premium-feeling, super-portable Android tablet. If that's all you want, it's okay. But if you need to do any real work or think you might game, this is a terrible value. You can get a used laptop or a Chromebook that will run circles around it for productivity.

vs Competition

Forget the gaming laptops listed as competitors; that's nonsense. The real comparison is against other tablets and cheap laptops. Compared to an iPad, you get more RAM and storage for the money, but you lose the massive app ecosystem and polish. Compared to a $350 Chromebook, the Tab S10 FE wins on portability and media consumption, but the Chromebook destroys it for multitasking, real browser tabs, and getting actual work done. The ASUS Zenbook Duo is in a completely different (and more capable) league.

Verdict

I can only recommend the Galaxy Tab S10 FE to one person: someone who already has a powerful computer and just wants a super-portable, nice-screen Android tablet for the couch or travel. For students, business, or anyone needing a primary device, skip it. Get a Chromebook or save up for a proper laptop. This is a companion device, not a workhorse.
